Ready to welcome all our Eagles back to school!
HSOK ROOKIE OF THE YEAR!—ORVIS RISNER!
Last year was our very first year participating in the Healthy Schools Oklahoma (HSOK) program, and what an incredible year it was!
Because of the hard work of our students, staff, families, and community, we were able to introduce so many fun and healthy opportunities for our Eagles.
Throughout the year we:
-Added Bike & Pedestrian Safety activities
-Hosted several vendors from our community for a Health Fair during Family Night
-Welcomed families for our first ever Bring Your Parent to PE Week
-Provided snacks and water for our amazing Super Kids Day student helpers
- Introduced Bike to School Day
-Continued adding new PE equipment and materials to keep our students active, engaged, and learning healthy habits.
Thanks to everyone's support and commitment to creating a healthier school community, Orvis Risner Elementary was honored with the 2025–2026 HSOK Rookie of the Year Award! 🎉
This award belongs to our entire Orvis family. Thank you for making health, wellness, and fun a priority for our students every day.

📢 Important Information Regarding Summer Hours
All elementary and middle school offices will be closed through July 31. High school offices and district offices will be open Monday–Thursday from 8am to 4pm. High school offices will be closed for lunch from 11:30am to 12:30pm each day.
Central Enrollment will be open Monday–Thursday, July 6–16 at Memorial's Welcome Center for families who need enrollment assistance.
Families can continue to enroll online at any time by visiting edmondschools.net/enroll. Enrollment applications will begin processing during Central Enrollment or when school registrars return on August 1.

I am excited to invite you to join your child for a fun and active experience during Physical Education!
Come ready to move, play, and exercise together during your child’s scheduled PE time—it’s a great way to connect, have fun, and see what PE is all about!
Details:
-One adult per child (no siblings, please).
-Check the date/time and sign up link from your child’s teacher (should receive this early this week).
-Please sign up by April 3 so Coach North knows who is joining us!
-Arrive 5 minutes early and sign in at the front office then head to the gym at the start time to join in!
We can’t wait to see you in action—get ready to move and have some fun! 💪
