Orvis Risner is competing in a marathon challenge in partnership with the OKC Memorial Marathon. The challenge, set to run until April 26th, aims to encourage students and staff to complete 25 miles individually, both on their own and during Physical Education classes.
The rally was kicked off at Orvis Risner’s Friday assembly, where Rumble from the OKC Thunder and representatives from the OKC Memorial Marathon came to get students excited.
Under the leadership of Mrs. Ross and Mrs. North, participants will have the opportunity to track their progress, with names being displayed under 5-mile marks in the gym.
The finale will take place on April 27th, where all participants will meet downtown to run the final 1.2 miles together!
