It is my pleasure to welcome you to a new school year! 

Orvis Risner provides a terrific environment for your child to learn and grow. We are a Conscious Discipline school, which means we create a compassionate school culture that has proven to increase self-regulation, a sense of safety, connection, empathy, and intrinsic motivation in both children and adults.  We work to build a strong school family.  Students are celebrated for the talents they bring to the school and their classroom families.  Teaching at Orvis Risner is a work of the heart.  Our mission is to foster citizenship, leadership, and scholarship in a safe and positive environment.  I look forward to working alongside a dedicated staff and community to bring this mission to life on a daily basis.

Hello, Orvis Risner Eagles!

I am so excited to be part of the Orvis Risner school family.  I grew up in Guthrie and I am a graduate from Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!)  I began my teaching career in Sapulpa as a kindergarten teacher and then moved to Edmond to be a school administrator.  I am so proud to work for a school district that encourages and empowers not only its students but its staff and parents as well.  I am here to help everyone at Orvis Risner be successful so please reach out to me if you have any concerns or need anything!

Hello Orvis families!!

I’m so excited to return to Orvis this year as the School Psychologist! I got my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas in 2016, and my masters degree in School Psychology from UCO in 2020. I look forward to working together to help the kiddos here achieve the best they can in and out of the classroom both academically and behaviorally. If you have any questions about RTI (Response to Interventions) or Special Education, I’m the person to go to. I look forward to another awesome year working with and getting to know you and your families!
