The Mission of the Library at Orvis Risner

   We exist to support students as they become independent life-long learners in a rapidly changing technological and culturally diverse society through reading for pleasure and information.

About the Library at Orvis Risner

   Open: 8:45 am to 4:15 pm every school day

Students visit the library during scheduled class times and may come to the library with their teacher’s permission anytime during the day.  Books are due two weeks after they have been checked out.  We send out requests to return late books twice each school semester.

Book Gifts and Donations made to the Library at Orvis Risner

   We are thankful for our community partners and families who support our work in not only adding great titles to our library but also the home libraries of our students and their families.  As with purchased materials, book gifts and donations become the property of the school’s Library and may be added to the collection or given to students at the discretion of the school/library staff.
