I began my teaching career in Norman in 1997. I taught in middle school and then at the high school level while in Norman. Since then I have been at the elementary level (the majority of my career). I enjoy teaching and can’t imagine doing any other job I find as rewarding. I have a husband and two sons. Both boys are currently in Edmond schools.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Education and, this past year, I completed my Masters in Education. I am certified in special education, early childhood education, and elementary education. I have three fur-babies, a dog and two cats. I love teaching and working with students.
I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. I am a third-year speech pathologist at Orvis Elementary and I am enjoying my time here. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking pictures and cooking.
This year I am celebrating my 23rd year in the public schools providing support to students with speech articulation, fluency, communication and language needs. In 1996 I earned a Masters of Education degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Central Oklahoma. I maintain national Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association as well as Oklahoma state licensure.
My husband and I have two adult children, a teenage son, and two grandpuppies. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, crocheting and spending time with my family and friends.
