I have taught at Orvis Risner for 13 years in the primary grades. I currently teach Pre-K. I love working with young children and having the opportunity to watch them grow and mature as they continue through the grades.

I have a degree in Early Childhood Education. I love to teach at Orvis Risner. This is my 13th year of teaching I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have taught Kindergarten and currently Pre-K. My favorite part about teaching is seeing kids learn new things with excitement.

I am super excited to be teaching Pre-K for the second year at Orvis Risner. This will be my 21st year of teaching, with 19 of those years being in 1st grade. I have my degree in early childhood and elementary education from Southern Nazarene University. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher mainly because I had many teachers growing up who inspired me. Being with children and watching them learn and grow is absolutely one of my favorite things. I am blessed to do that here at Orvis Risner with some of the most caring people. I live just 5 minutes from Orvis with my husband Richard and our 3 german shepherds. We have 5 children, 2 grandsons, and a granddaughter due in September.
