Daisy Woods

I graduated from Cameron University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education in 2012.  I also have an Associate’s in Music from OCCC.  My family moved to Edmond in 2013 and I was an active parent at Orvis Risner while I stayed home with our daughter.  I returned to teaching in 2017, joining second grade and then moved to kindergarten for the 2018-2019 school year.  I am grateful for the opportunity to teach early childhood through developmentally appropriate practices.  My husband, Joshua, and I have been married for 12 years.  Our son, Darien, graduated from Memorial High School in 2017, our son, Jakob, is in 7th grade at Cimarron Middle School and our daughter, Marley, is in first grade here at Orvis Risner.  We also have two dogs, Molly and Bo. We love Orvis and our community!

Michelle Jalbert

My name is Michelle Jalbert and 2019-2020 will be my 21st year in education as an early childhood teacher.  I graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a BS in Early Childhood.  Most of my career has been with amazing kindergarten students!  This is my sixth year in Edmond Public Schools and my first year at Orvis Risner.  I love working for EPS because they put students, teachers and their families first!  My family and I have lived in Edmond for 18 years.  My husband and I have two wonderful daughters that both attend EPS, our youngest is a 7th grader and our oldest is a senior!  I feel like it was just yesterday that my own daughter was in kindergarten!   My personal philosophy is “Parents and teachers working together equals a successful student!”  I hope I have the privilege to have your student in my class at Orvis Risner or meet you in one of our many school wide activities.
