Fifth graders had the opportunity to travel to Memorial High School as part of a STEM Buddies grant. Ninth grade biology students are paired up with 5th graders from Orvis Risner to participate in collaborative STEM lessons. In the first lesson, STEM buddies studied and looked for water bears as part of a life science unit. The students will meet up at least three more times throughout the academic school year for more collaborative activities.  Students were amazing ambassadors for both schools and had a fantastic time!
